Lisztomania

One of our ideas for a chosen song is a son called ‘Lisztomania’ by a French and called Phoenix . This song was originally released in 2009 but people still think that its a very popular song , even though its quite indie , so not realy for everyone might listen to it . I find really interesting how the band are using this as an example of the ultimate fame and they discuss the issues through their lyrics on how fame can grow sofast but also fade quickly the chorus discusses how you have to learn to deal with both. I really enjoy the whole reason behind the song and also the music itself as it tackles the issues of popularity in the music industry and how one minute you go from fame and then in some cases lose it in seconds.

Shots of Franz Liszts grave appear and other bands and artists that have collapsed. Then it cuts to Phoenix singing in comparison to the other artists. Overall this music video supports the ideas behind the song and it works really well . This is one of our group ideas .
